Description:
After the publication of Lambert's Neues Organon in 1764, a priority dispute regarding the invention of an algebraic calculus for propositional logic started with the Tübingen professor J.G. Plouquet. The dispute was mainly publicized in review journals, and involved contributions by Plouquet, Holland, Lessing and Lambert during the year 1765. All contributions were later collected and edited by Bök.
