The chronology of Lambert's scientific ideas can be followed in his Monatsbuch, scientific diary, edited by Karl Bopp in 1916. The Monatsbuch starts in the year 1752 and ends in the year of Lambert's death 1777.The dates given on the website for the time of conception and writing of Lambert's papers are based on the information in the Monatsbuch and Bopp's copious notes.
